<<I don't particularly consider them our Ally>>

But our govt does and that's what counts. That's a very awkward fact for guys with the same views as yourself......

<<I would be more in favor of overthrowing the Saudis and letting the Hashemites control the Arabian Peninsula.>>

The fact that American forces were stationed on Saudi soil post Iraq part 1 was the main reason why Al-Queada took its war to us. And you think that implanting a more US friendly govt. on the Arabian peninsula is going to endear us more to the muslims. For someone who's claimed to have spent so much time there you don't seem to grasp the cultural and theological complexities of the area so well......

What you're suggesting would literally start WW3.....

Hawk, are you on crack or something? We are protecting the Saudis from being violently overthrown by their population, a population that wants to align with Iran. We supply all the military might to SA in order that they may suppress their people from choosing to align w/Iran. Nut case you are.

<The Saudis know that they "this close" to being overthrown by US forces if they didn't rein in their Wahabbist militant elements.>

But Steve, the US turned turtle and vacated SA bases when ordered by Riyadh.
Not something a Crusader would do.

I don't particularly consider them our Ally, at least not the same degree as the UK, Canada, or even Japan.

ROFLOL. Who cares about what you consider. You are full of yourself. LOL

The Saudis know that they "this close" to being overthrown by US forces if they didn't rein in their Wahabbist militant elements.
Stop saying stupid things. I like to see that.

We ARE also pressuring them to commence democratization at a local level to build legitimacy for the regime.
Man, I have tears in my eyes laughing. Yep on you can unleash democracy. Please tell us what flavor of democracy that you are unleashing on the Saudis, the corrupt one or the rigged one.

Personally speaking, I would be more in favor of overthrowing the Saudis and letting the Hashemites control the Arabian Peninsula. They, at least, have some measure of legitimacy in Jordan and King Abdallah is very western minded and progressive.

Of course you would, it only pleases you Zionists masters. Of course, Abdallahs will sell Mecca to the highest bidder, like they sold Jerusalem.

And it would resolve, to some degree, the issue over a Palestinian homeland, since Jordan is, by all contrived definitions, Palestinian. (I say "contrived" because there has NEVER been any such historically recognized entity/ethnicity as a "Palestinian". It came about with Arafat and the PLO).
right out of the book of your Masters, the Zionists.

Ask Sarman.. he thinks it was all a Mossad/CIA plot.
You finally have seen the light.
