was the vet located in brazil? canada? europe? asia? anywhere else in the world the dollar is collapsing?

at least let the vet know that when prices about double, you want to know *IN ADVANCE*.

i'd vote that clown off the island.

A couple years ago our vet (in Seattle) told us the dog needed to have her teeth cleaned so my wife asked how much it would cost. I forget the number but we felt it was excessive for scraping the tartar off her teeth, so the next time I was in the pet store, I found "tartar control" dog treats. Got some and they work great, plus the dog said she likes them much better than the dental procedure. <G>
