Let see now, when my dad was around 50 he was preaching that Social Security would be bankrupt and he would never collect a dime. I think he retired at 62 and turned 85 this year. I dont think his beliefs have changed; just his timeline.

I can't even fathom the reality you live in Grace where your life partner you left to the whim of wether he chased you on a bike or your friend - that just seems like insanity to me. I am going to sink in the same titanic as you possibly Grace, I am trying my hardest to get out of the USA and move to the islands with Chen, but the US government is making it harder and harder for me to go. U can go to the USVI and right now only have about 4% tax rates if you set up good company with a few employees - it works for lots of hedge fund guys who want to retire - can work for you too if you are fearful of the tax monster coming for you.
