Elroy--Things have probably changed a lot since I was traveling internationally, but at that time, if your passport was checked at your country of origin, and you had to change planes in another to get to your final destination, you didn't have to leave the secured area and thus could catch a connecting flight w/o rescanning your passport---Peace

About 15 years ago, my Grandma managed to fly from Germany to Abu Dhabi with a stopover in Paris without a Passboard (she forgot it at home) or any other ID. Emigration in Abu Dhabi finally stopped here and my aunt (at that point living there) had to bail her out.

We have no idea how she did it.
