The latest on my truck seems to be that the fuel gauge was faulty and told me I'm one third full when it's actually empty. I'm still going to have the $2800 bill, but hopefully I will get back on the road.

That's an expensive lesson. On the other hand, you now know that your injector and lifter pumps are new and should last the lifetime of the truck.

Thinking about this, it seems to me you ought to go back at the Dealer and demand that they refund some of what they charged. I could easily justify them rebating back the labor charges, with you being responsible for the parts only.

If they don't act to your satisfaction on this, complain to the Idaho Attorney General Consumer Division
