This is my first visit to this thread, although its title has been a mantra of mine for months. Today sucked hard ... I could list the plays I would've made but it's too painful. I could access my new Datek account, unfortunately I've only got a whopping ten grand in it so far. ETrade deserves to go down in flames, for purposes of revenge as well as to send a message that online brokerage houses can't survive offering sub standard service. Or should I say sub sub standard service. But maybe I'm being too hard on them - after all, it was just routine maintenance! In the middle of the trading day! For more than 3 hours! And it's not as though this happens every week ... wait, I guess it does happen every week.
