I disagree. I will be eligible for Medicare some years down the road, and I fully intend to sign up. They made sure that I always paid them every dime they said I owed them. If they want me to walk away, let them buy me out -- pay me back what I paid, plus interest, at the prevailing rate. I'll think about it - maybe I'll even settle for no interest. Until then, I'll keep a plan with a high deductible.

do you think if Regan was true to his beliefs,he would go against his earlier principles and become a socialist at age 65 and accept government paid health care until the day he died at age 93? That's just bizarre. When you turn 65, you're covered by Medicare. What would you expect someone opposed on principle to do? What would you expect someone in Canada to do if he disagreed with a socialized health care system? Leave the country? Refuse health care and just die?
