Guy was a damn good writer that's all I know. Wish he coulda found a way to live with himself and stick around a little longer. Infinite Jest is a great read.

Why did Walalce make an incterdib;le 700,000 errors that be 700 per page!

Because editors and proofreaders have to make a living, too.

My profession, law, is a royal pain because I am not naturally someone whose first draft is a finished product.

Still, sloppy language suggests sloppy thinking. I find that my thinking is sharpened if I labor over a draft. I have spent hours upon hours on memoranda that are no more than eight or nine pages long.

My win/lose ratio, however, is very good.

In forums like this, I don't think it matters much. I am OK with anyone who simply gets his ideas across regardless of form. However, I will probably give more attention to a well-honed post because it tells me that the author has taken time to perfect the thinking behind his point.
