Yo! SMU fans,

re: the inquiries as to why SMU did not become a "falling piano" on Monday. . . the truth is that virtually all knowledgable shareholders (of which there are many on this thread) we already expecting 3Q97 results to be pretty ugly. The announcement merely made such expectations a matter of public record.

I personally do not believe this indicates the bad news is behind us and that the stock has "bottomed." Maybe so, maybe not. The fact is, management has to find a way to turn SMU's massive inventory and pipeline of market-changing technology into profits. Period. If they can, perhaps this stock has bottomed.
