>>>>And yet, your GOP sent literally plane loads of cash in wooden crates and distributed it to the Iraqis. Hundreds of billions went unaccounted for. And you would begrudge 32 million Americans health care?

The wars will be over one day. The health care entitlement never ends. The cost of the wars will a trillion or so. The cost of health care over the years will be many trillions.

See? There is no moral equivalence, but there is no fiscal one, either.

your GOP

Huh? MY GOP. Not hardly. Where did you get that? Only a few days ago there was a discussion on the factions within the GOP in which you and I each engaged and during which I referred to the GOP in the third person. Further along in that discussion I posted:

"the GOP turns me off so utterly I can only rarely hold my nose and vote for one"

And a week ago in another discussion I posted:

"I am not an apologist for the GOP. I am not a Republican so I can't speak for them. "

This comment from me is from just yesterday:

"a rant after my own pox-on-both heart"

My GOP, not so much.

I just don't get your morality.

If you'd care to discuss my morality, and/or yours, I'll be happy to participate. If you're interested in the GOP's morality, I can accommodate that to some extent from an observer's perspective, definitely not as a member or as an apologist. If you want to discuss it with a Republican, you'll have to engage someone else.
