and realized he wouldn't have anything to do if he left the Senate.

Most people over 75 in this country don't feel obliged to hold public office as a retirement hobby. In addition to term limits, I'd make anyone over 70 ineligible to run for anything, period.

Do we really benefit from a herd of sclerotic old fossils haunting the corridors of power until they fall over?
