Damn, pompano en papillote is no longer on Antoine's menu, at least not on this online version of it. It cannot be.

I suspect the menu used at the restaurant indeed does have it. Inconceivable that it doesn't. If it has been eliminated, I am sure it is not due to the spill but because the dish is not easy to prepare and a bit stodgy. I love it.

Very much on topic material. Per the thread header. Booms

Here is all the proof needed that the lunatics have taken over the asylum. The question I have is:- "When are these idiots going to be replaced and somebody who has even a token amount of competence and ability put in charge"?

google.com

We don't have a command post that's totally unified where they're actually listening to the locals," he added.

But even beyond the environmental effort to contain the oil, effective or not, the booming serves another crucial purpose, providing a psychological boost to those who feel helpless, Overton said.

"It's an ecological incident but this is also a sociological disaster," he said. "It's helping people think they're helping the environment, and there's a lot of good to that. I'm talking about getting to their psyche. They don't know what the future will bring.

"Booming is not just about protecting the environment," he added. "It's also to help the people and that should not be considered trivial or a waste of time."

So MQ, do we have a problem, or do we not have a problem with oil on the beaches?

I would just love to know your considered opinion on this matter.

There is apparently ZERO effort being used to minimize environmental damage using booms, and somehow we are supposed to accept this as OK?

These idiots are getting to my psyche for sure. They need containing and put in a safe place where they can do less harm.

ASAP.
