All,

I have to admitt that I'm more than a little disappointed with Intel I.R. It now seems obvious that because of some of the OEM's switching to J.I.T. manufacturing, the soft sales for this quarter is a one time event that is not related to the health of the overall business. In the conference call, they gave no indication of the short term nature of this problem, they just kept repeating their mantra of slightly up in the traditionally best quarter. As a logical result, the analyst's had no choice but to lower estimates for this quarter and next year, based not as much on Intel guidance as much as their LACK of guidance.

Today they came through loud and clear about a transitory problem. They could have done this in the conference call and saved investors a lot of uncertainty.
