Hi Shane: Thx for that pointer. There are 750 Commercial Wafer fab plants in operation/construction & near 450 R&D pilot plants located
in 5 regions of the globe. Perhaps some one could give us the sub groupings and stats for the ASICS together with the Sales/Income for
each of the top 10 sites. That will help us to understand the competition and appraise those Billion Dollar forecast for LSI.

Shane, O Thread Wizard, I just read the article in full in Mang's post
to the L-NOT.., and I had just commented to Addi similarly to your
thoughts.. It is useful, I think, to go back occasionally and
reflect on the kind of growth that LSI is capable of... the early
years, up to Nov of '95 are pretty dramatic:

But the kind of world-wide growth that led to LSI's earlier success,
IMO, would see a substantial repeat of LSI's succcess as well
Unfortunately, there appears to be a growing slowdown in the world economy that is somewhat surprising to me. And it appears that it
could get worse for a while. So perhaps we get a stretchout in the
growth period. Might have to settle for somewhat reduced profits for the time being.. What's your projected time frame for the bottom of the current weakness? TSO

>> The question is how do we, who are not privy to the inner workings of LSI, assess the probability of this 3 billion dollar boom.

Well Shane, I learned my lesson via my stupid option foray. So now I'm just holding the LSI stock and give up timing the stock, whether the three billion is going to come next April or year 2000's April
