RACE has quite a competitive edge when it comes to modems. RACE has led the market in modem innovation; Ben touched on that a bit.

Jonathan and his dual line modem would present a real problem if the second line works like mine. I got knocked off during the CC, and once again while writting the post about the CC. On the main line, I got on @ 8:30 am and stayed on till I signed off @ 4:30 pm today. 7 hours without a disconnect, with 2 disconnects in 1 1/2 hours for the second line. Does anyone know if having call waiting on a line, (it is disabled during net action), makes a modem connection more lasting??? That is the only difference that I know of for the two lines, (no call waiting on the second line)yet modem duration is 10 times as good as on my second line!!! - Maby I just have a noisey second line, Marshall you may know the answer to this???
