I am from Rochester where thousands of Kodak employees religiously piled up the shares, also Xerox and GM via Delphi Automotive. What a disaster! When I got out of college and worked for Kodak in 1972 they employed almost 62,000 people there--now around 8,000!

There is the economy and there is the stock market. And they are not the same.

And I keep hearing people screaming:
Please manage the economy for stock's market sake!
For God's sake, make things work so I take a short term profit.

This is not rational.
