I think I remember you being familiar with the below part of the East Bay.

Drove out to Stockton yesterday. Was very, very disheartened to see substantial new grading and roads scratched into the green hills just north of 580 around Fallon Rd. I could have sworn we had enough exurban development to last a lifetime -- especially in the face of $4(+)/gal. gas.
