I don't know. Giving him the proper rites means he gets into Muslim heaven. That is what they believe. If OBL is going to heaven after all the evil he perpetrated, it is not much of a deterrent for other jihadists contemplating their own evil acts...

I said: "Why was Osama bin Laden's body treated with such tender, loving care!!!!? Osama was given a respectful, dignified Muslim burial! You responded: === Because we are civilized. I could have accepted a less honorable burial, not a burial that basically provided honors to Obama that were obviously undeserved. To me, to honor bin laden rubbed salt into the still open wounds of the survivors of 9/11, and the memories of all of those heroes, who died trying to help others... heroes from the New York Transit Authority, New York Police and New York Fire Department, and all others! Being civilized should not mean being stupid!

Agree. For the same reasons, I would not release the photos. The sane Muslims have no doubt that he is dead. The loons won't believe he is dead even if the photos are released. The loons will riot, cause more death and destruction, when the photos are released. The fact is, he is dead. We have no need to lower ourselves by proving it through publication of gruesome photos. Let them believe whatever they want. If we say that the sky is blue on a clear day, many won't believe us. I don't want our young kids - who shouldn't be exposed to this kind of stuff - to see photos of this kind.
