When I first got a driver's license, the oil companies would often have "gas wars". We'd drive around in my '40 Ford Coupe, pooling our change and buy 38 cents worth of gas and get about 2 gallons for that.

Wish I had both the Ford and those gas prices back today. ggg

I remember when gas stations used to give you a drinking glass when you filled up your car. Now you have to give them your first born! ;^)

when I started driving my 100cc Yamaha would take me to and from school and work for a week on a $0.50 piece gas was $0.399. Bad new is that it also took two spark plugs too.
