You are misunderstanding the paradigm of the Apple's implementation of its cloud. The differences are subtle on the surface but pretty powerful as a time saver over the years of use of any apple device. Message 27421525 Taken together Apple's tactics are part of a larger strategy, and as I predicted most people won't really get it, probably until they get used to it, and at that point they will NEVER want to go back to doing everything by hand. Apple as per usual will have thought out the cloud and will offer only what they think is prudent, entirely useful and they will implement it better than anyone else. Or their implementation may seem lukewarm. I'm always amazed when Apple releases new stuff that looks BANAL on the surface, on closer examination it becomes more interesting. Many times they seem late to the party but implement a more well thought out product. I have a degree in design, and I've worked for tech companies. Engineers and designers don't think the same. Microsoft is a company with an engineering culture, Apple has a design culture.
