No vendetta at all, just contesting your original point on pricing vs the Corvette. I think the American manufacturers have gotten much better, and their small cars are more competitive, more so Ford's than GM's.

If the gouging continues which I doubt, I don't think GM will sell many more Volts. In the beginning with a new car, there are always those who want to be first on the block and will be willing to pay a higher price. That usually ends once there is enough of that car on the road.

It will be a couple of years before we know how well the Volt is doing.

Why doesn't he allow the Smart car turbo diesel into the US, given that it gets 70mpg highway?
