To Glenn Walters:

I have read the Oct. 97 article in Scientific American about supercapacitors. Could you fill in some details for us as to how that relates to ADTC and the new HED film.

1) PolyStor rolls sandwiches of plastic and electrtolyte-soaked carbon to make supercapacitors. The Pinnacle Research Institute is manufacturing ceramics inside the supercapacitor. Maxwell Technologies has a carbon cloth supercapacitor.

The question is are these competing technologies to the HED film or is the HED film part of these 3 new technologies?

If HED is a competing technology then how does it stack up to these 3 types of capacitors? Which one is better? Or do they have different uses and different market niches? Do they sell at different price points?

Interesting minds want to know.

MC

PS. Who was the $1 million order of Brown and Crisp too? How much did it effect 3rd Q results? Does this mean 4th Q will be way above expectations?

In an august 6th press release you said "allow us to meet or exceed current street estimates in revenues and earnings of .30 to .33 per share". Is this still the case? or what are your latest projections for 1997?

Bottom Line - $0.12 Loss

I am really disappointed that ADTC reported a $0.12 loss for the third quarter. The only saving grace is that the stock price did not dip below $4.00. As investors digest this recent development it would not be surprising to see the stock price slid to $3.00 once again. This will be a great buying opportunity worth waiting for.

Regards,

Tom
