Any way to fix dead SI links?

For example, every link in this post by my "buddy" Svejk is dead (obviously, same goes for the subsequent ones):

Yes, I can clip the post number, cut/paste it behind the new SI URL, and make it work. But I doubt most people know how to do that.

As a side note, I always wondered if this post by Barry Dryer is your dad's:

A couple of comments/queries...

1. What is the purpose or "mission statement" of SI going forward? ie is the focus to be on stock discussion, political discussion, anything goes?

2. Do you currently have, or intend to have, club-type boards that only those invited to post can post but those not invited cannot read? Given that political boards are very emotional, this may be an option to cut down the noise.

3. Does your current setup allow multiple MODERATORS on a board? If so, any limit; if not, any plans to implement?

4. I, personally, do not like the notion of a circuit breaker on a board. To me that smacks of censorship...but that's just me.

5. Is there an option such that the icons "HOME" "MAIL" etc that are currently displayed at the bottom of a page can be displayed at the top of the page instead? Perhaps just add "HOME" "PROFILE" & "HOT" to the 4 that are currently displayed at the top right.

Thanks

Just a thought regarding the recommend feature. Why not change it to "Agree" rather than recommend as that's what most people regard it as anyway.

Taking that a stage further maybe even a "Disagree" though I'm not yet convinced why that would be useful.

Anyway, recommend my post if you agree! lol
