Shocking isn't it. when I read it in the newswires yesterday, I couldn't believe it. Normally, I would read such items twice to convince myself. But I decided to forgo that since "I have no time for that crap."

With each passing day, the Rs disclose more and more the way they think. I suspect its because they think they have the country where they want it.

This country is becoming conceited by the day. We have a class of folks evolving reminiscent of the Hitler days in Germany. A group of folks who want to takeover this country, go and impose their will on the other countries of the world militarily and will ultimately land up the way Germany did after the culmination of WWII.

Yes, its why these times have me so worried. Too many people are not paying attention and don't recognize how dangerous the Rs have become. In the meantime, my cousin [an R] and I are barely speaking. We have known each other since we were kids and have always been friendly until the last 5 years. I suspect the divisions developing between Americans are reminiscent of those that developed before the Civil War.

This is not evident from within the US. But there is a growing anger against the US and it is being compounded by the rise of anarchists like the Tea Party who have vowed to first decimate some of the moderate Republicans to begin with before they move on to confront the middle class (echoes of this happening is evident with what you posted about the views of Orin Hatch etc.)

My EU friends would kill to have a president as good as Obama and are perplexed by the attacks on him from both the right and the left. Its as if the people in the US are all on drugs.

The Tea Party needs to be finished similar to what happened when the Dems and moderate Republicans came together to reelect the Nevada Senator. Anarchists like those in the Tea Party do not have a right to freedom whatsoever since they do not believe in that themselves

Amen.

"impose their will on the other countries of the world militarily"

I'm not sure where you get this. Most of the Tea Party wants to end our wars. It's the only point of agreement I have with them.

Not totally following how you got to the tea party from what Ted posted but I get tired of this class warfare bs.(politics). Sessions may be referring to that about 1/2 of our population pays no income tax and everyone should shoulder some of the burden.

Rather than focus on the class warfare and tax the rich politics, we ought to be working for tax reform-(I prefer a flat tax with little to no deductions) which could help with the solution and not kill the politicians that support it.

Re; Tea Party

It is being an anarchist because you want your country's government to behave in a fiscally responsible means and it doesnt listen? They are radicals because they are unhappy that our government is spending way beyond its means? They are fascists because they dont support a nanny state- that individuals should be give opportunity to succeed or fail? They are racists because they want the govt to do one of the jobs they are actually chartered to do- protect our borders?

Many on this thread are fearful of the movement because it is a populist rising of ordinary folk and much of what they are saying speaks to ordinary folk. From my point of view the majority of people from the tea party are ordinary, normally non political people that are frustrated with the way things have been going and are continuing to go. Sure there are some nuts and politicians trying to hijack it for their own purposes but the movement arose from ordinary people being frustrated with the status quo. You ought to ask yourself why their message resonates with so many people and go after the core issues upsetting these formally non political people.

Instead, let's verbally destroy these people through the press.

-" make them out like whackos and crazies and facists."
