In the United states there are green folks fighting EVERY SINGLE proposed wind farm development.

I'm not sure what "Advanced Coal" is, but I suspect it has something to do with CO2 emmission reductions which is a complete waste of money.

You other favorite Solar PV is not cost competitive either coming in at 210 MWh.

We should switch over to 100% Natural Gas fired and learn to love fracking!

That's a wrong statement by the guy. According to the US Department of Energy the average cost for "advanced coal" is $109/MWh, for wind $97/MWh.

How much does it cost per megawatt to get power from a windmill when the wind isn't blowing?
