Fugazi, With all due respect, I do not think that Henry's speculation regarding upcoming popular press articles was the least bit inappropriate. He was clearly guessing regarding the publication dates, as well as the articles' specific content. He did not imply otherwise. These articles may or may not yet be published, and - if published - may or may not be highly positive re: Ligand. We will have to wait and see. But Henry's decision to post his expectations, based on sources he assessed to be credible, was not unreasonable. If the sum total of all we could legitimately discuss on this thread (and all SI, for that matter,) were limited to undisputable "fact," we would have nothing to discuss, whatsoever, in the interum between annual report issuances. What should govern the acceptability of posting speculation (for example, expected publication dates of as-yet-unpublished articles,) in my view, is the simple criterion: Is it posted in good faith? Because I firmly believe that Henry's prediction was made in good faith, I have no problem with it. RB

Fugazi, My initial report on the three news articles indicated that they would be coming out "soon": techstocks.com and it was made at the end of last month. It was based on a rumor that LGND would be talking to several members of the popular press. Frequently, such interviews precede the article by a few days. In this case, it is clearly taking longer, but I do believe that the interviews took place and I still expect to see the the articles. I subsequently posted that they could be out as early as the following weekend: techstocks.com but as far as I know, they articles have not come out because I have been monitoring the three publications and haven't seen anything yet.
