Paranoid about what? I saw that reading too. I was merely trying to provide some insight into the workings of the markets! Who said anything specifically about shorts on OZON?

To All: Remember, all of those links provide information about RETAIL short sellers. In OZON, there's not much of that. Wholesale short positions (i.e. market makers) are not available ANYWHERE!

But, I must remind some of you a lesson taught just the other night:
Market makers do NOT have to cover their positions with certs or stock. They can short a stock without certs; they can short a stock up to their capital requirement. In other words, a market maker DOES NOT HAVE TO COVER THEIR POSITION!!! Different rules apply to them, altogether.

There's no way of knowing a market makers' short position in OZON. But, there are only a few market makers in the stock. If any of them are shorting...there's no way to stop them. The best lesson for them is to lose their shirts (and shorts, should Jeff be here). Let's all hope that they do. Nothing would make me happier!

In the meawhile, I am busy writing a tearful eulogy for one of our departed friends, Fred. I am to understand that Fred has met with an untimely demise. I'll post as soon as I have all the details.

GO OZON!

Tis true that we do not know the CURRENT short interest, and it hasn't been significant in the recent past. I am more concerned that the company states that it definately will need debt or equity financing to remain in a growth pattern, and also to remain nasdaq listed. Apparently the big contracts coming, will not get here in time. The only reason in my opinion for the recent spike , was the recent ecoli breakout. Are any steps being taken to capitalize on this highly visible problem.
I have placed a call to Bill Stoddard (pres) to ask about the financing plan, and new markets and revenue streams. Will let you know what I can find out.
