The writing was definitely on the wall when it started becoming clear that there was no agenda other than fattening the pigs. And by watching how that was being done, thru massive, obviously unsustainable derivative ploys, unfunded wars and preferential tax treatments for the "haves", it was indeed a period when common sense began to favor PM's. I didn't move as early as you, but I have damn sure moved. My entire portfolio is exposed to nothing but base metals and PM's, and I am not sweating a thing.
