Had Obama taken his health care plan to the people he just might have gotten a decent bill, retained control of Congress, controlled the legislative agenda and we would now be posting comments about the World Series.

Just as we tried to tell people would happen if he would just fight.

<<Speaking for myself, this is what I got irritated about.>>

How do I say this politely. I think you are engaging in revisionist history. One, you felt what we were saying was hurting Obama, when it was really helping him (he needed to change course) and two you didn't feel he needed to take a sharp turn left. Both ideas were wrong. If you had recognized what was needed you would not have been irritated. I hope.

You specifically felt what Wharfy and I was saying was hurting Obama. You told me that. Apparently you didn't feel the pressure on Obama was necessary.

Obama did not change his position until the pressure on him was so great from the Congressional Black caucus, black pundits and the liberals that he was forced to change it.

It was the pressure on him that caused him to change his tactics. Willie Brown one of the most brilliant black politicians of all time also took Obama to task. Harshly. Tom Morello of Rage against the machine, and who is half Kenyan and went to Harvard said: "dude grow a pair.

When the top black politicans started taking Obama to task that should have been your clue and made it clear to you Obama was making serious policy blunders. The top black leaders would never ever say anything if things were not dire. Capitulating on raising the debt ceiling was the last straw. Talking about his accomplishments was not what was needed.

Clinton said just raise the debt ceiling and let the courts sort it out. Obama said: my lawyers feel I can't do it. And so the US was downgraded and now because none of the Wall street criminals have been prosecuted we have chaos in the streets with innocent people getting hurt.

And when Obama finally did make a hard left turn and started channeling FDR it turned out exactly like we said it would. It helped him the way we said it would. Irritated? The problem greatly transcended irritation Zeta.

But think what you will. You were on the wrong side of the debate and punished the people who were on the right side.
