Steve: I agree 100% with your statement! Those on this thread that think Westell's lack of level 1, transceiver patents are critical to the success of Westell, please list your points... one by one.. and I'll tell you why it doesn't matter if TI or Westell owns them. I'm ready... please provide your rational... until later.

Amati would not have gotten rich by collecting royalties but by profiting from its business relationships with Siemens and NEC. The preconditions for entering those relationships was Amatis intelecutal property and its R&D team.
