Is it 100% clear that this announcement about Amoco, apparently involving an installation made some time ago, involves only 1 switch, and that 1 switch is all that will be sold to this particular business unit of Amoco? Even so, will other Amoco business units have other needs? Will other exploration/oil companies have other needs? Do we have reason to believe that Sun, SGI and others doing business with Amoco may be impressed by the actual operating results, network transfer time, etc. achieved with this networking installation, and shows that legacy systems need not control the decisionmaking process regarding upgrades in performance. My take is that other companies deciding whether or not to deal with a Minnesota company using a penguin for a logo will be impressed by deals and installations, however large, with companies such as Amoco, Geoquest/Schlumberger, Boeing, etc. In fact, I am sure that Brocade would have liked to announce a networking solution with a company such as Amoco, and that we on the Board would have been very disappointed if Brocade had made such an announcement. In short, looks good to me, and obviously I, too, hope that there are many additional announcements as well

Craig,
I also noticed this and was thrilled that ANCOR was apparently going to ride both these horses. Now if a Cisco or 3Coms take notice of the benefits of FC maybe ANCR can get this side of the business soaring.Probably no easy task as these guys seem bent on Ethernet. If their is a competitive advantage to FC in certain areas can they ignore FC forever? Ed
