<<<Obama just recently extended our military presence into Australia. He has bought into the Industrial Military Complex. How is it if republicans are part of the Military Industrial Complex they are evil but if democrat politicians do the same, democrats turn a blind eye? >>

I can answer that. Because the Republicans embrace the military industrial complex. The Democrats know it is bad, but can't do much about it. The people still reward politicians that get in bed with the military and will not vote for people who want to cut defense.

As an example most of the dems that voted to authorize Bush to go into Iraq did not want to, but knew if they didn't the people would most likely vote them out in the next election.

In polls, the people still put the military as the most trusted organization.

<<You are completely misrepresenting Paul's military policy. He wants to return America to a defensive strategy - you know like in Department of Defense. That means you don't do nation building but are ready to defend if attacked. Tell me what damn sense it makes to spend as much as the rest of the world combined? It is shear insanity!>>

Paul is an isolationist, who would probably have resisted going into WWII. There are times when we need to do nation building like Japan and Germany after WWII.

Paul is a small minded crazy person and even the crazy Republicans know that. He is also paranoid and does not have a good grasp of reality e.g. his fear of African American's and conspiracy's and his lack of empathy. He is sort of Glenn Beck light.

I don't happen to think republicans are evil- and the military industrial complex is everyone's problem- but on the other hand, it's one hell of a public works program, now isn't it? And any dismantling of it must be careful and cautious. Do I think Paul would be either? No. I think he's a black and white thinker and as much of a zealot as any horrible Neocon. Zealots aren't my thing- not when they come in any stripe. You have mistaken me from a knee jerk republican hater. I dislike wingnuts and Neocons- but I actually liked papa Bush- so maybe you want to save that broad brush for someone else.

Good luck selling the Paulster. I think he's said too much to ever be more than a side dish at the cranks' buffet. Insanity comes in many flavors- and I'd prefer mine in just about any other flavor than "Paul".
