Fraud one of the big problems with government healthcare. In a private system it would be a small fraction of what it is. That alone would do a great deal to contain costs.

The same could be said of the Federal student loan program. By making money incredibly easy to get, the cost of tuition at most schools has inflated so drastically that almost everyone now needs to take a loan out to pay for schooling at a private university. Federal student loans have, in essence, made college expensive for everyone.
