Steve, I do not believe "green energy" can be said to have a long term beneficial effect. At this time it increases costs - and hence decreases competitiveness. Additionally it takes more and more and more and more subsidies - money we do not have - to keep afloat.

Green energy is a misallocation of resources at a time when such cannot be afforded. It is hard to be serious about debt and yet call for more wasteful green.

Bob

There's many economist's that say that unemployment supports demand (in the short run) because that money is immediately spent on goods and services. It's a way of helping prop up the economy in the short term while they find/seek ways to prop it up in the long term. It's a one/two combo.
