Continued rounds of dilutive financings would be forced by continued operating losses and weak sales, not 'the shorts'. This theory that short sales have something to do with RACE's woes or the stock's woes just kills me. If people wanted to buy the stock the price would go up. Shorts greedy? Irrelevant.

Bill, Very clearly laid out scenarios with a netural slant, rather uncommon on this thread!!!

- Could I ask you if you have a "Jump-in Point for RACE???

I am guessing that the main part of the short position is
hedging by big longs. I mean people who have a comparable
number of long and short shares, so that their account dont
change much no matter what way the stock moves. Which may
be the reason that they are not in a hurry to cover at all.
Then, once it becomes clear that Race is on a safe path,
they can cover at any point they consider safe. I agree
it is too risky to be purely short now. And I think that
$6.45 magical price will be passed easily even if converts
choose to sell there, because when there is a clear path
to profitability, buyers will keep pouring in.
