Seems curious that Brazil has such high import tariffs, but apparently no equivalent duties on the goods in airline travelers' luggage. Must be the inefficient bureaucracy. :o)

I,m an American and travel to Brazil often. When I go I'll take a couple of iPads or a couple of lap tops, sell them when I get there and pay for my whole trip. I still have money left over when I get back.

Clearly the US is becoming a third world country. We used to travel abroad for the "cheap" stuff that the locals couldn't afford. Now the tables are turned.

Up here in Montana, if it weren't for the Canuckies we would be dead in the water. The Canuckies come down here like I used to go to Tijuana .... to raise hell and buy cheap stuff!
