James: Well said. A "skeptic" is a popular title these days. Any inexperienced investor should reread your last two paragraphs. The big boys say, "the Sky is NOT FALLING!" as they all go underground. James: Thanks for your well-informed posts that puts some perspective on the Asian (and other) problems. IMO the next direction for the US markets will be decided by what happens in Vancouver. Do the Asians recognise they are in trouble and have they come to the US or IMF for help, or did the US step in to save our own butts ???. Or perhaps it was some of both. It is my big hope , if they came to the US for help or advice, that they realise that 'taking down' the US financial market is going to make the situation worse, perhaps much worse. Today it was Mikies turn , and he came through with a very good report.(at least a 'B' or even an 'A' minus. Tomorrow or next week will be Mr Clinton's day, and will have to wait to see the result. I just hope he gets a good grade. SES
