James:

Well said.

A "skeptic" is a popular title these days.

Any inexperienced investor should reread your last two paragraphs. The big boys say, "the Sky is NOT FALLING!" as they all go underground. This fact is one that most choose to disbelieve, but alas, has always remained a universal truth.

Regards,
Todd

Choi, are you serious?... -- "I would not be surprised if people starts dying in mass mysetriously somewhere in a big US city in next few weeks."

Too many movies?...

James:
Thanks for your well-informed posts that puts some perspective on the Asian (and other) problems.
IMO the next direction for the US markets will be decided
by what happens in Vancouver.
Do the Asians recognise they are in trouble and have they come to the US or IMF for help, or did the US step in to save our own
butts ???. Or perhaps it was some of both.
It is my big hope , if they came to the US for help or advice, that they realise that 'taking down' the US financial market is
going to make the situation worse, perhaps much worse.
Today it was Mikies turn , and he came through with a very
good report.(at least a 'B' or even an 'A' minus.
Tomorrow or next week will be Mr Clinton's day, and will
have to wait to see the result. I just hope he gets a good grade. SES

re No doubt Dell will grow. But what's going to be the profit? Sub $1000 computers are already there.

James, obviously you are more than marginally literate, so you must have inadvertantly skipped part of the quarterly earnings announcement. Go back and read the part about 'profit margins'. Then come back and tell us again that there will be no profit since other companies are already selling the sub-1000 computer. Sheesh!!!
