OMG, That PERFECTLY describes the Mn. Republican controlled House and Senate. It has been a disaster for conservatives here who are furious with them.

Neeka, that is one of the best articles I've read in recent memory. Thanks for posting. I have forwarded it to a lot of people. Most of us are very naive regarding the way D.C. works nowadays. The corruption and power-brokering are so deep and pervasive that the idea that 'one man can make a difference' is pretty much meaningless anymore. And this article pretty accurately lists the power brokers, in addition to the influence of the now-completely-biased mainstream media. I suspect that even the majority of Romney supporters believe that, if he is elected, things will simply turn around. And yet, even with a republican in the White House, and republicans holding majorities in both houses of congress (best case scenario), that corrupt machine and its blueprint are still pretty much intact. It is going to take more than one election to turn things around. The most important necessity in order to do that will be citizen awareness, action, and vigilance. That should be our major goal -- now and for decades into the future -- and, in order to achieve it, we need to totally revamp the American public education system, because that indoctrination monstrosity has turned out a couple of generations of citizens who have no clue about their proud roots, the inherent value of individual freedom, or the ability to critically think and make important, informed decisions rather than allowing others to do their thinking for them. It can be done, but it will take an effort equivalent to preparing for war.
