And yet, at the buffet lines, those obese people just loaded their plates mountain high! How can you fell comfortable after your stomach is so bloated and you can't even breathe normally? Just because you are allowed to eat as much as you can? Just go to the casinos and observe those obese people take revenge at the food line when they lost at the slot machines. We all know that obese people cause the health care costs to skyrocket.

Obesity: A Big Fat Problem For America’s Future IMHO obesity is usually a symptom, the real "disease" is lack of exercise. Even overweight people who exercise daily cut a bunch of medical risks by 50ish percent. Including but not limited to cancers, heart disease, diabetes, depression, Alzheimer's. In the history of the species it's only been a few centuries since we've had the ability for a sedentary lifestyle. And a much shorter time that we've been compelled to live a sedentary lifestyle with computers, TVs, cars for everyone etc. The human body and it's organs, designed by evolution over millions of years to perform certain functions, hasn't had the time to evolve to meet this dramatic change.
