Watching Stiglitz on Bill Maher. He is so brilliant and to think Obama not only passed over him, but insulted him along with Krugman.

Obama does test my patience-lol.

The point I wished to make about Reagan was in response to your comments that Reagan was, more or less, some empty headed actor who just read his lines. He did deliver lines--no doubt about that. But he was very much involved in politics once he reached California and started acting and stayed involved and developed his own political philosophy about things. He just wasn't some movie prop.

I do get you didn't like his actions against the students, who, after all, weren't going to class and threatening to shut down the University.

This, I think was in response to the Government's policies with regard to the Vn War and the DRAFT which caused most of the protests. Ergo--DRAFT=POLITCAL INVOLVEMENT.
