Romney to Reid: 'Put up or shut up'

uh, no; you put up or shut up. They're your returns.

"has always paid 100% of what was owed."
Yeah, but he pays a lot of money to folks who make sure he owes as little as possible, and, quite probably, lots of money to folks who write laws enabling him to do just that.

How do you get an IRA with $100M?
How can you give $100M to your kids, tax free?

"Harry's gonna have to describe who it is he spoke with because of course that's totally and completely wrong," Romney said Thursday in the radio interview. "It's untrue, dishonest and inaccurate. It's wrong. So I'm looking forward to have Harry reveal his sources and we'll probably find out that it's the White House."
So, having been handed the high ground by Reid, who has made an unfounded allegation, Romney decides to relinquish it again by making an equally unfounded allegation against the White House.

Both Reid and Romney are playing the worst kind of dirty politics here.

McCain is being politic here, something he isn't often noted for. If he has seen the returns, and they really did show that everything that Romney did was kosher not only by the law but as far as political appearances are concerned, he would have said so, IMO. There is almost certainly something untoward in those returns.
Agreed about the "untoward." Maybe even "fishy." But it's definitely something.

I'm worried, however, that the Reps will successfully turn Reid's accusations against him and make them the news topic. Got my fingers crossed.
