I did my own informal review of friends in my address book. If they're libs, they're still here. If they're to the right, they've moved out of state - to Oregon, Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico - almost all of them.
I'd like to move too to get away from all of what's going on here, but I really resent that I'm being pushed out and there's nobody left to help fight against what's happening to this lovely place.
You and I are living the same nightmare in California. I love where I live, but would leave in a NY minute if I could manage to take all of my family with me. I won't leave them, so for the time being, I just enjoy what's left of our quality of life here.

BTW: Have you noticed that as these "conservative" Californians have moved to Oregon, Nevada, etc., that those states have been moving left, left, left! It's been happening in Oregon for decades, and now, Oregon is more liberal than CA in many ways.

Couldn't agree with you more......

California has the potential for so much but it's being ground to dust under the heal of progressivism......

Time after time these radicals go for another term and much to my chagrin, win! I can't think of a better reason for term limits.

In this state we have the most ignorant, illogical, brain dead, radical anti-american fools to be found anywhere. Pelosi, Stark (raving), Waxman, Boxer the list goes on......

This state should be leading the nation in everything but the only thing we're leading with are the most asinine ideas out there starting with the high speed train.

We really do have, for all practical purposes, an idiocracy........

California downside? I saw that coming 13 years ago. I got tired of being glared at by 4 bald brown gangsters in their lowered Civic at stop lights in LA. As I said on my Med thread yesterday, I made the right choice. The islands are the best climate available in the USA. You get an American Government and as good as or better medical facilities as you can get in any USA metro area. The down side is that it's expensive to live in if you don't know what you are doing.
