Basically, we have survived on the grace and generosity of whomever was the owner of the site at the time. Exactly. Which is why trying to monetize the place - again, been there, done that - ain't gonna work. Methinks. Cause it didn't work back then - so Brad smartly sold it - and it ain't gonna work with whoever decided the first thing to do is muck up the most notable feature of SI. I mean - as dad said, again and again - when you kick your audience below the belt for starters, gets hard to win them back.

I don't know. I was commenting over on BuSab that we are really the least desirable demographic to buy. Over 40 with investable funds isn't a desirable demo? I guess it depends on what you're trying to accomplish. And based on what Mr. Longhurst said of his bio, that would seem to be his wheelhouse. Of course it could mean that SI will become very friendly with all those lovely people who keep trying to reach us with surefire money making ideas, and that would not be likely to end well.
