I wouldn't be sure about that. Here's his boss:

youtube.com

You may want to notice the first sentence.

And check out this news clip in which Clinton lied through his teeth:

youtube.com

Or this quote from a CNN story:

"Clinton, who was interviewed Thursday, said he did not believe that Bush went to war in Iraq over oil or for imperialist reasons but out of a genuine belief that large quantities of weapons of mass destruction remained unaccounted for."

articles.cnn.com

And even Gore himself said this much:

"Nevertheless, Iraq does pose a serious threat to the stability of the Persian Gulf and we should organize an international coalition to eliminate his access to weapons of mass destruction. Iraq’s search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to completely deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power."

So, while Gore did not explicitly support the Iraq War, it is difficult to say he would have maintained that position.

The reality is that all the Democrats who mattered supported it, but in typical, two-faced, hypocritical action, chose NOT to support it after it turned out to be harder than thought.

Bentway,
If we'd elected Gore, we'd have never invaded Iraq. It's likely he would have kept on Richard Clarke, and sniffed out 9/11 before it even happened.
Thank you, gullible_libtard@moveover.org.

You're now on the record claiming that 9/11 wouldn't have happened if Gore were president. ;-)

Bush did keep Clarke on. If Clarke is disappointed with Bush over his 8 months failure to get bin Ladin, he must really be disappointed in Clinton, who had years to get him and actually turned down an offer to have him handed over to the US.
