Liberals are still blaming guns. Maybe if these 2 African - American teens had their backgrounds checked before they legally purchased this weapon, this baby would still be alive... Of course not! A pair of teenagers was arrested Friday and accused of fatally shooting a 13-month-old baby in the face and wounding his mother during their morning stroll through a leafy, historic neighborhood. news.yahoo.com

There is nothing wrong with target practice and hunting. Herein lies the problem. This statement indicates that you are willing to give an inch. And when that happens, people will ask for a yard. Recall that crazy white man, trembling and shivering with rage on Piers Morgan's show and yelling at Piers that he wants his right to own a gun to "protect against the British." Say what. More than half the world liberated against the British Empire without having to own guns. Just peaceful means: Gandhian style. Not that Gandhian is foreign to the US. The US had a Dr. King also who shamed his oppressors. So today we have some ludicrous, waco Americans (the neocons) going around the world in a organized military fashion, threatening to kill people just like Hitler did. According to a friend of mine, a retired military Colonel, the US is hated by the NATO. None of he NATO troops and commanders want to be under US military command. And they point to how we treat a African American President who the world recognized as a Nobel Laureate because of his accomplishments. It is the American psyche which finds relaxation through firearms that is in serious need of repair.

Where there is the problem is easy access to guns and the proliferation of those guns. Its estimated there are 300 million guns in this country. No country needs to have that many guns in the hands of too many crazy people. Who decides what is the "right number?" Who defines crazy and who tests for it? I am all for keeping unqualified people from getting guns. If someone exhibits bad judgement around me when we are out shooting, it is the last time we shoot together. Guns are a very heavy responsibility. I am a certified instructor. I teach that in my classes. We go over the 3 most important rules first before we even begin discussing guns or handle them. I am also for a special expedited court and mandatory jail time for mis-use of a gun in a crime. "Gun courts" are a good idea. Min sentences and mandatory sentences. Your statement is reasonable. But how do you go from a concern with easy access to an AWB or Universal registration? Feinstein, Cuomo, Bloomberg and their ilk want to ban guns. They want them gone. Feinstein has said as much. They are the extreme view. They call the NRA extreme because the NRA is safeguarding the Second Amendment. The people who want to ignore it and confiscate, are the extreme. They are being forced dow the throats of America as the "mainstream" view and it is BS.
