I don't know whether WMT did this before Obamacare, but they are certainly more likely to do it now than they were five years ago. You figure that out.

As to split shifts, I would point out that Walmart doesn't "make" anyone work. If a person working at Walmart wants to get a job somewhere else, they're free to do so.

but most of their mainline employees are essentially poor too and they treat them like DIRT.

apparently the other alternatives are worse, or nobody would be willing to work at walmart

Don't use legislation and regulation to increase the cost of hiring someone full time, and businesses won't operate this way.
