A lot of valid points but this is bs:

a $150 Pebble that is superb and on the market months before the iWatch is going to make it almost impossible for the iWatch to get the hype and love previous new devices received.

The Pebble looks like something found at the bottom of a cereal box circa 1987. If Apple, with its J.Crew-ish ads and fetish for all things sleek, can't produce anything more attractive than that, I agree, the company is doomed.

And hype? I think a multibillion dollar company can out-hype just about anyone outside of Hollywood. And everyone knows, Apple is preaching to a cult.

Agreed on the additional integration, though for anyone who voice-assisted search is a primary selling point, Google Now is so far ahead of Siri that it would actually be a reason to buy the Pebble instead.

I find this statement to be a bit purplexing, since Pebble has no microphone or speaker. I can only conclude that you feel that Google Now is so much better than Siri that you would prefer to have no voice control from your smart watch rather than be forced to use Siri. I can relate-- As I previously indicated, I feel the same about Android tablets, that I would prefer to have no tablet than to waste $100 on one. A subpar experience is often not worth the trouble.

As you had mentioned before, the fanatics don't care and they will stand in line to buy the iWatch for themselves, their kids, and their great grand kids at double the price.

Your android friends are waiting on the sideline to copy every part of the watch but in a slightly bigger size.

Cheers!
