My gawd John - look at the defense industry! We spend the same as the rest of the world for gawds sake. That's government you know. Bush was NOT unusual. It's just that he was such a failure that they are now trying to distant themselves from him. Did they do that while he was President? Hell no. They all jumped aboard. Why? Because that was spending for stufff they wanted. To throw Bush out is rewriting history.
