James, actually cpq makes allot more profit than dell, has gross margins 27.4 which are allot higher than dells.
and dominates the pc and server sells in all catagories....
what the street thinks doesn't mean that much since they they have to
up cpq's price to the 80-100 range after april 1998.
cpq will gain more market share this qtr. and by 1pril 1998 their
channel inventory will be 3 weeks...
that means I can order a cpq and get it then instead of waiting
a week like I do on the dells.
and, cpq doesn't have to change their TV ads to No 2.<ggggggggg>
stk price in 10 yrs is allot more important than stk price in 10seconds.
