RESEARCH ALERT - Kulicke EPS views cut

NEW YORK, Dec 11 (Reuters) - Cowen & Co said it lowered its earnings estimates

-- Kulicke said its first-quarter 1998 results may be lower than previously indicated.

-- It appears that major orders from two Korean customers will be pushed out
indefinitely.

-- Manufacturing issues regarding the company's new 8060 system are resulting in
fewer deliveries this quarter than previously planned.

$2.39 from $2.74.

-- The stock remained rated a buy with a 12-month target price of $35.

Agree. However, I think an interim bottom will occur in the next 7-10 days and a worthwhile rally in January. I did OK buying Mexican stocks when the rest of the world was pissing on them. It's impossible to call the exact bottom.

>>Prices are still being
slashed. Wait for a bottom. <<
If any 1 can say where the real bottom is ?
But still i agree, there is 80% chance of further downside risk.

Hi Andrew: Thx for those wise words of caution. Now to enable us to implement that strategy, could you let us know the signs that will signal a bottom.
